Are any other Utah wedding photographers craving warmer weather? I can’t wait for wedding season to be in full swing again. I love getting outdoors for photo shoots. I’m especially excited for all of my 2019 weddings as the majority of the venues will be tucked away in the beautiful mountains! Back to this gorgeous couple. I have been doing Ashlyn’s family pictures for about eight years now. In fact, I had just seen her a year before at her high school senior session. I was so excited for her when I found out she was getting married. I can’t wait to post more from their actual wedding day which was at Thanksgiving Gardens. We had so much fun at their bridal session, they had Jackson Averett as their wedding videographer. If you aren’t familiar with him, go look him up! He is amazing.
We did a first look so Alex could see his soon to be Bride for the first time and we could capture his reaction before we did the photos. It’s always an honor to be included in a first look session because they are so intimate and there is so much emotion. It is a beautiful moment to witness as a Bride and Groom see each other for the first time.
Sundance has a special place in my heart. It always feels like home to me. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s where I learned to Snowboard or if it’s because it’s where I got married! Either way, I’m always happy when I get asked to photograph weddings or do other photography sessions there. It is beyond beautiful with mountain views as your backdrop and adds such a romantic feel.
I loved Ashlyn’s simple colors, and the way they allowed the focus to be on her and Alex. Nothing to overpowering, just clean and elegant!
