One of the greatest aspects of living in Utah is being so close to the wonderful Mountains, for hiking, skiing and camping and of course, YOUR WEDDING! I love when my Brides and Grooms pick a Mountain venue or even just elope in the mountains and all of their out of state guests are overcome with the majestic beauty of our beautiful backdrops here in Utah.
I was so excited to photograph Chloe and Aaron’s wedding at Solitude. This was the resort that I decided I was a skier and no longer a snowboarder, haha! I was excited to shoot somewhere close to my heart that I have enjoyed several family outings at.
They picked a day in late August and knowing how unpredictable Utah weather is, we were prepared for rain, snow or sun! We ended up getting just a little bit of rain during the ceremony and then it passed and gave us beautiful sunshine for the rest of the day. They had an enchanted woods theme and the rain definitely made it feel much more enchanting during the ceremony. She completed the look with logs, moss, and candles. It was gorgeous. Her wedding colors where gold and blush pink. It was so romantic!
They had yard games for their guests to enjoy while we did the family and wedding party photos and then it was time for their dinner, open bar and toasts.
Their wedding favors were some of the cutest that I’ve seen. They were little jars of wildflower seeds for people to take home. It was such a gorgeous mountain wedding at Solitude Resort. They have amazing packages and the space you get to use for your wedding is unreal. You should check them out if you are planning on have a wedding that also has lodging options.
